16. poesiefestival berlin: e.poesie – Elektronische Musik trifft Lyrik
Elektronische Musik trifft auf Lyrik: „e.poesie“ widmet sich am 26. Juni in der Akademie der Künste am Hanseatenweg den Beziehungen zwischen Wort und Musik, zwischen Sprache, Rhythmus, Klang und Ton und ihren verschiedenen Formen von Bedeutung.

Der französische Dichter Anne-James Chaton trifft auf Alva Noto, die musikalische Persona des bildenden Künstlers Carsten Nicolai aus Deutschland. Yolanda Castaño, Isaac Garabatos und Jesús Andrés aus Galizien bilden die Lyrikband Tender a man. Und Eduard Escoffet aus Barcelona wird gemeinsam mit den drei Musikern von Bradien auftreten. Es gibt Poesie auf Französisch, Katalanisch, Galizisch, Englisch und Spanisch zu hören. Alle drei Formationen arbeiten seit Jahren intensiv in Wort und Sound zusammen. Jenseits von Nationalsprachen und Gattungsgrenzen loten sie den Raum aus zwischen Stimme und Elektronik, Dichtung und Musik.

Kuratiert hat das Programm, das internationale Soundpoesie mit elektronischer Musik konfrontiert, der katalanische Dichter und Performer Eduard Escoffet.

Das 16. poesiefestival berlin findet statt vom 19. – 27.6.2015 in der Akademie der Künste, Hanseatenweg 10, 10557 Berlin.

Electronic music meets poetry: in the Academy of Arts in Berlin’s Hanseatenweg on 26 June, ‘e.poesie’ will be exploring the relationship between word and music, language, rhythm and sound and their various forms of meaning.

French poet Anne-James Chaton will be joining Alva Noto, the musical persona of artist Carsten Nicolai from Germany. Yolanda Castaño, Isaac Garabatos and Jesús Andrés from Galicia are the members of the poetry band ‘Tender a man’. And Eduard Escoffet from Barcelona will be joining the three musicians from Bradien on stage. There will be poetry in French, Catalan, Galician, English
and Spanish. All three groups have been working together intensively in word and sound for a number of years. Beyond national languages and genre boundaries they sound out the space between voice and electronics, poetry and music.

The programme, confronting sound poetry from various countries with electronic music, has been put together by the Catalan poet and performer Eduard Escoffet.

The 16th poesiefestival berlin is taking place in the Academy of Arts, Hanseatenweg 10, 10557 Berlin, from 19 – 27 June 2015.
